With your gold MasterCard, your life is customized. You are unique, so why isn't your credit plan? MasterCard understands this and wants to see your individuality thrive. That's why gold MasterCard offers customized terms. Based upon credit review the annual fee is between $0 - $79, and the account setup fee is between $0 - $49. If you qualify, you will be notified of your Introductory APR at the time you receive your card. After the introductory period, or if you do not qualify for the Introductory APR, a variable APR of 18.9% (as of 6/1/03) for credit card purchases and balance transfers will apply.

For gold MasterCard the intro APR for balance transfers is 3.90% for 6 months. After the intro period, the rate will be as low as 18.90%. That is what makes MasterCard credit cards such a unique and desirable card. While the prepaid MasterCard is not unique and not very desirable, and we hate it.

So how does this compare to the platinum MasterCard? Well, receive the 0% introductory APR, your account must be in good standing. Your account will not be in good standing if any loan or account with us or any other creditor is overdue, your account is over the limit, you make an account payment that is returned unpaid, or your account is closed. And if you are not in good standing, give bad credit MasterCard a shot.

In this day and age, one of the most important things to do is protect your credit. That also includes knowing first all about the gold MasterCard offers you are interested in. Once you so secure a credit card or two, always make sure that the balances are paid on time and, preferably, in full.
